American Disc Jockey Assoc. Comments |
TLT Entertainment Comments |
| Do you use professional gear? |
Using professional sound equipment (including pro
compact disc players) helps insure reliable service
and a quality presentation. |
All of our DJs are equip with state-of-the-art professional
DJ equipment, such as Newmark, Gemini, American DJ,
Yamaha and JBL. All music is CD format. |
| Will you provide an emergency back-up system
at our event? |
Weddings, Mitzvahs and special events are often once
in a lifetime opportunities. A back-up system protects
your investment. |
Our equipment is tested before each event, and we
always have a back-up plan in place to ensure proper
execution of our services. |
| Are you insured? |
Insurance is part of any legitimate business. Liability
and casualty policies protect you, your guests and your
DJ company from unforeseen circumstances. |
TLT Entertainment is insured with a million dollar
liability policy. The safety of our DJs and our clients
is a high priority. |
| Do you belong to any professional associations
or trade groups? |
An involved businessperson shows a willingness to
learn, network and share ideas. Belonging to a professional
trade group reflects a caring attitude. |
We are an active member of the HEB Chamber of Commerce,
the Perfect Wedding Guide and the Wedding Guild. In
addition, we participate in the Fort Worth, Dallas and
Mid-Cities bridal shows. Networking with other service
providers allows us to recommend reputable vendors that
we have personally worked with to our clients. |
| Are we guaranteed the DJ of our choice on
the day of our event? |
A written contract with your specific DJ protects
you from unscrupulous operators. |
You are able to meet (in person or over the phone)
with the DJ that has been assigned to your event. This
gives you the opportunity to get to know your DJ and
feel comfortable with your choice. Unless there is an
unforeseen event or emergency, this will be the DJ for
your event – no last minute switches. If for some
reason there is an emergency, you will be notified before
the event. |
| How many years of experience do you have? |
Experience brings knowledge of common problems and
situations. Be sure your DJ has experience with your
type of event. |
Our DJs have an average of seven years experience
in the industry. The owner of TLT, who also DJs and
works directly with many clients, has over 10 years
experience. |
| May we call your references? |
References are a major part of the entertainment business.
It is a good idea to get a few client and business references. |
We can either provide our clients contact information
for the last five DJ jobs we performed or a list of
references specific to the type of event you are having
(wedding, school, etc.) |
| How will you be dressed? |
Proper attire reflects a positive image to your guests. |
Our DJs are dressed in a conservative suit and tie
for all weddings. We feel a flashy tuxedo takes the
focus away from the bride and groom. For schools and
more casual private parties, business casual attire
is appropriate. |
| How early will you be to our site to set up? |
An average of sixty minutes should be allowed for
set up and sound check. Normally there is no additional
charge for this service. |
As stated in our contract, our DJs arrive one hour
prior to the event. During this time, we set up and
test our equipment and meet with the caterer, event
manager and other parties to ensure our schedules are
in synch. There is no additional charge for this setup
hour. |
| Will you allow requests? |
Requests should be welcome. If a song seems inappropriate,
a good DJ will explain the reason and ask for an alternative
selection. |
We always ask the client if he or she would like requests
and can provide request books and slips. We do, however,
know our music very well and will not play music that
is inappropriate for the event or guests. |
